Repeater Maintenance on August 10th

Hello All, The VE1YAR VHF repeater (146.730) will be offline at 8am on Wednesday (August 10) and will remain so for most of the day. Due to this, the Captain's Net will be held on VE1EKV (147.105+) that morning. This will be due to some work that will be performed on the tower that day. Regular operations will resume once the tower work has been completed. 73 for now VE1XT

Looking for a place to mount a 2-meter mobile?  If your car has a compartment like this, it might be your answer.  I call it my Stealthy Installation.

S.M.A.R.T - Symposium of Maritime Amateur Radio Techs

The Symposium held in Amherst on April 30th turned out to be a great success. Bernie, Sheldon, and I (Dennis) ventured up there for a day trip. We left Yarmouth about 3 AM and made it up there just in time.

I've heard from a couple of the organizers, that they are already planning to put the event on again next year. It's looking like it might be a two day event.

VE1JBL (Jim) has posted a picture and some more information on The Maritime Amateur Website (scroll down the page a bit).
