FOR THE 2016 ATLANTIC WHITE CANE CONTEST
THE YARMOUTH AMATEUR RADIO
CLUB IS PROUD TO ONCE AGAIN SPONSOR THE ANNUAL WHITE CANE CONTEST WHICH WILL BE
HELD ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 7th, 2016 ON THE 80 METER BAND USING LOWER
SIDEBAND FROM 7:30 UNTIL 9:30 AM AND FROM 3:00 UNTIL 6:00 PM ATLANTIC STANDARD
TIME.
ONLY CONTACTS WITH
AMATEURS IN THE FOUR ATLANTIC PROVINCES WILL COUNT FOR POINTS AND IF A PERSON
HOLDS MORE THAN ONE CALL SIGN, ONLY ONE CONTACT WITH THAT PERSON WILL COUNT.
CONTEST LOGS:
CONTEST LOGS SHALL CONTAIN
THE CALL-SIGN, NAME AND STATUS OF EACH CONTACT.
STATUS IS WC FOR A WHITE CANER AND NWC FOR A NON-WHITE CANER. WHITE CANERS NEED NOT ENTER THE TIMES OF EACH
CONTACT BUT NON-WHITE CANERS MUST ENTER THE TIMES.
SCORING:
A CONTACT WITH A WHITE
CANER WILL COUNT FOR TWO POINTS AND A CONTACT WITH A NON-WHITE CANER WILL COUNT
FOR ONE POINT. FINAL SCORE WILL BE THE
TOTAL OF YOUR POINTS

2016.
FIRST PLACE CERTIFICATES
WILL BE SENT TO THE TOP SCORERS IN BOTH THE WHITE CANE AND NON-WHITE CANE
CATEGORIES AND A CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION WILL BE SENT TO ANY STATION THAT MAKES 20 OR MORE VALID CONTACTS.
