December 2017 Monthly Meeting

Just a friendly reminder that our monthly club meeting is being held this coming Tuesday (Dec 19th) at 7pm.

As usual it will be at the EMO building behind the fire hall on Pleasant St.

Hello All!

I just wanted to post a reminder that we do not have club meetings in July and August. We will resume on the 3rd Tuesday of September.

Also, a reminder that the club's annual supper is this Tuesday (July 18th) at 6pm at the Grand. By now you should have already RSVP'd to VE1DES. If not please contact him as soon as possible.

April Club Meeting

Hello All!

The April 2017 club meeting will be held this Tuesday (April 18th) at the EMO building on Pleasant St. The start time will be 7 PM.

We encourage all members and those interested to attend.

Cape Forchu Lighthouse Activation - Weekend of May 13th

Preparations for the Cape Forchu Lighthouse activation are well under way.

We will be activating the Lighthouse on the weekend of May 13th. Our station will be set up in the Wentzel House which is the bungalow next to the big chair. We will be operating under the call sign VE1YAR.

So far we have a few people who are going to be operating. Myself (VE1XT), Dave (VE1GM), Bernie (VE9BGC), and George (VY2GF).

If you are interested in operating feel free to let me know or just pop in and take a turn. We also encourage the general public to drop in and see what it's all about. We can answer any questions you have about the hobby and how to get involved.

February Club Meeting

Celebrating Bill's 70th at the EMO - January 28, 2017 (actual birthday on 29th)

               Thank you to Veralyn (VE1VAR) for the cake and ice cream!

Everyone had a good time at the January club meeting where the highlight was a celebration of VE1UT's 85th birthday.  A big thank you to VE1VAR for the cake and ice cream!

January 2017 Club Meeting This Tuesday

Hi Folks,

The January 2017 club meeting will be held this Tuesday (17th) at 7 pm. As usual, it will be at the EMO building behind the fire hall on Pleasant St.

NSARA membership dues for 2017 are also due and can be paid at the meeting. The cost is $10.

Everyone is encouraged to attend.
